Artist Collections
Art that earns
the wall.
Whittled partners with photographers and artists whose work stops people in their tracks. We cut it into hardwood, number it to 500, and put the artist's name on the box. Not a licensing deal. A named collaboration.

Our Selection Standard
The image has to deserve the cut.
A Whittled collection image is selected for what it does inside the format — not just what it looks like as a print. We look for color zones with depth, edges that reward a slow build, small details that reveal themselves after the hundredth piece, and enough visual weight to justify naming the artist on the box.
We release fewer images so each one can carry the format. A puzzle takes hours to build. The image has to deserve every one of them.
01
Stops you cold.
The first test is visceral. The image has to have gravity — the kind that makes someone pause before they know why.
02
Rewards the build.
Color zones, texture, movement, and small details that reveal themselves slowly as the puzzle comes together.
03
Earns the wall.
The finished object should feel worth displaying — not returning to the box after one build.
04
Named always.
Every artist whose work we release gets their name on the box, the edition slip, and the product page. No anonymous licensing.
Active Collection
The Wild Series

Elephant Herd
Edition of 500

The Lioness
Edition of 500

The Tiger
Edition of 500
Wildlife photography selected for color density, animal presence, and natural detail that rewards slow building. Each edition is cut in hardwood with whimsy pieces designed to echo the animal and its habitat.

Coming Next
The Landscape Series
National parks, mountain light, open water, and places people carry in memory long after the visit. The next collection is built around landscape photography with the depth and color that hardwood can hold.
If you photograph places this way — wide, vivid, and made to outlast the moment — we want to see the work.

Your name on the box. Your image in hardwood.

Named collaboration — not a license
Every edition we release with an outside artist or photographer is a named collaboration. The artist's name appears on the box, the edition slip, and the product page. Your image is presented as a collector's object — not a background asset.
Cut and finished to show work like yours
Whittled uses Chromaluxe dye-sublimation into hardwood — the same process used by fine art print houses. Color is infused permanently into the surface. Detail that matters in the original image carries through to the finished puzzle at a fidelity most print formats can't match.
Limited editions built for collectors
We release editions numbered to 500. Small enough to feel collectible. Enough to justify real production investment in whimsy piece design, cut authorship, and presentation. Artists who work with us receive edition proofs and a percentage of gross revenue on every unit sold.
Selective by design
We do not release many collections at once. The format works because each image is presented as something chosen — not stocked. We would rather partner with fewer artists and do more for each one than run a broad catalog that dilutes every image in it.

Have work that stops people cold?
Share the portfolio. We review every submission for color, detail, rights clarity, and whether the puzzle format adds something real to the original image. If the work is a fit, we reach out to talk through the collaboration.
