How long does a custom photo puzzle take to ship?

Accepted Answer

Keepsake and Signature, including the 19-by-26-inch large format: Ships within two weeks after photo review and order confirmation. For Heirloom, the two weeks start once your private design brief and image are approved. The clock starts after confirmation, not after upload.

What photos work best for a custom wooden puzzle?

Accepted Answer

Photos with sharp focus, strong color, and good natural light work best. Original camera-quality JPEG, PNG, HEIC, HEIF, or WebP files produce better results than screenshots or compressed social media crops. Faces, pets, buildings, and landscapes with clear subjects make the strongest puzzles.

What is the difference between Keepsake, Signature, and Heirloom?

Accepted Answer

Keepsake ($99–$149) is the smaller puzzle, 8 by 10 or 11 by 14 inches, with a production photo review and your choice of cut style. Signature ($199–$249) comes in 13 by 17 or 19 by 26 inches and adds professional image preparation, themed cut direction, and gift-ready packaging. Heirloom ($249–$299) comes in the same sizes and adds a private story brief, personal design review, individualized cut direction, and expanded presentation review. The 19-by-26-inch editions are approximately 1,000 pieces. A call is optional, never required.

Which puzzle cut should I choose?

Accepted Answer

Classic Interlock is a traditional, image-led build. Signature Mix keeps familiar interlocking pieces and adds larger silhouettes themed to your occasion. Whimsy Forward is organic and flowing, with many themed silhouettes; on Heirloom it is composed around your story, with a proof before cutting. The preview shows an example of each cut; your pieces are designed for your photo and stay a surprise. Cut style does not change the price.

What happens after I upload my photo?

Choosing a photo shows a preview and does not charge you. You can pick your edition, size, and cut before or after. When you continue to checkout, your photo uploads privately and secure Stripe checkout opens, where you review the order before paying. Completing Stripe checkout places the order. A person then reviews every image before cutting; Signature and Heirloom also include deeper image preparation and design direction.

Does the custom puzzle come gift-ready?

Every custom puzzle can include a complimentary message card in your own words. Signature and Heirloom include gift-ready packaging. Each order is reviewed before cutting and confirmed before production.

Question 7

Is a custom wooden puzzle returnable?

Accepted Answer

Custom orders are non-returnable once production has begun, since each puzzle is made specifically from your photo. That is why every order includes a photo review and confirmation before we cut. And every puzzle is made right, or we remake it: if it arrives damaged, has a manufacturing defect, or doesn't match the image and options you approved, we remake it free. Email matt@whittledco.com within 7 days of delivery with photos.
